 Our Story

The stories of our lives are an integral part of the overarching story of God's love for His children,
the lengths to which He will go to reach us, and His passion for relationship and partnership with us.
We also believe sharing our stories with each other is crucial for relationship and for healing.
Here is our story.

Our Family

Over the course of our lives, we were blessed with three amazing children. Hayden Lane is married to Natalie; they have two children (our precious grandchildren), Coen and Petra.  Hayden is a Latin teacher at Greater Atlanta Christian School. Dr. Lindsey Lane is a veterinarian who practices emergency medicine in Colorado Springs.  Our youngest son, Cody Lane, went home with Jesus in 2007 after a lifelong battle with a degenerative neurological disorder.  His story of amazing faith and grace in the face of terrible suffering has informed our lives, our writings, and our counseling approach.

Where we are now

We live in the metro-Atlanta area, surrounded by our family. We are both university professors, teaching a new generation of counselors.  We also practice Christian counseling with individuals, couples, and families, seeing children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, we offer Christian discipling and spiritual mentoring through the Cody Lane Foundation.  You can read more about the Cody and the Cody Lane Foundation at codylanefoundation.com.

We enjoy working and writing together. Our passion is to help others explore and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, and our work and our writings are geared toward that goal.
